UN Moldova COVID-19 Situational Report nr27

The International Health Regulations (2005) Emergency Committee regarding the outbreak of coronavirus disease met on July 31st. The Committee unanimously agreed that the pandemic still constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). The WHO Director-General declared that the outbreak of COVID-19 continues to constitute a PHEIC. The Committee provided advice to WHO Secretariat and Temporary recommendations to State Parties which can be accessed here;

The UN Moldova Covid-19 Response and Recovery Plan is now also available in Romanian (UN Moldova COVID-19 Planul De Acțiuni Pentru Răspuns Și Redresare Socio-Economică);

Two additional COVID-19 hospitals:" Sfinta Treime" and Ialoveni hospital with 320 beds have been re-purposed, 16 ICU beds are functional.
