- Local authorities and migrants from 13 localities joined their efforts to implement four innovative inter-municipal projects. The Swiss Government provides grants for local sustainable development by involving the natives residing abroad. The grants are awarded within the Migration and Local Development Project (MiDL) implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova.

- UN Women has signed 10 Project Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the Republic of Moldova, which will contribute to the realization of UN Women Moldova Strategic Note 2018-2022.
- The Working Group meetings on the analysis and finalization of the procedures of active employment measures implementation, provided for by the draft law on employment promotion and unemployment insurance, took place on 4-6 June 2018, in Chisinau. The meetings were organized with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova (MHLSP) and with the participation of a foreign consultant.
- Corruption is qualified as a very serious issue by every third citizen and one third of businesses. Every second person considers that there is no public institution in the Republic of Moldova that is not corrupt. These are some of the conclusions of the Impact Assessment Study of the National Integrity and Anticorruption Strategy conducted by CIVIS - Center for Analysis and Sociological, Politological and Psychological Investigations. The research was commissioned by UNDP Moldova, within a project funded by Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Have you heard of Stima Nistrului, or a love story of Laur and Teia, or the legend about the origins of Tirnauca village? Twenty fairytales and legends collected in the communities of Holercani, a village on the right bank, and Tirnauca, a village on the left bank, were published in a book entitled Fairytales and Legends from across the Nistru. Its publication was enabled owing to a financial support offered by the European Union through the Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme implemented by the UNDP.
78 projects will boost local rural development in ATU Gagauzia, Taraclia and in neighboring districts. The projects are supported by the European Union in the framework of LEADER initiative. The Local Action Groups (LAGs), responsible for the projects’ development and implementation, met today at a conference combined with an open-air fair to present the results of their activities, to exchange experience and to promote local products. The event was organized in Chisinau by the “Support for agriculture and rural development in ATU Gagauzia and Taraclia district” Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP.
