UN Women Moldova and the Association of Independent Press (API) announce the launch of the “Click for Gender Equality” Media Programme. The 5-month programme includes trainings for journalists and members of the regulatory institutions, a journalistic contest that will culminate with a study visit in one of the European countries with experience and good practices in gender-sensitive journalism.

Representatives of such street art culture as Graffiti, Hip-hop, DJ-ing, Breakdance, Streetball, Parkour, and Riders from Chisinau and Kharkiv (Ukraine) joined on Sunday their peers from Tiraspol at the Urban Generation Fest. On Sunday, classical music sounded again between the ancient towers of Tighina fortress. To the delight of music lovers, the National Youth Orchestra of Moldova (MNYO) returned to the fortress with La La Play tour. This time, at the invitation of the hosts. As in 2017, the event was organised with the European Union funding in the framework of the Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme, implemented by the UNDP.
On August 22, 2018, UN Women Moldova (United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova signed a Memorandum of Understanding, aiming to achieve the objectives of the Strategy for ensuring equality between women and men in the Republic of Moldova, The National Strategy for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, and the National Program for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security.
The music of Bach and Mozart was played yesterday evening at the Sabia’s family sheep yard from Corten village, Taraclia district. The concert was performed by the Moldova’s National Youth Orchestra. An hour of live music, fresh cheese, and a pastoral sunset with 560 sheep, of which 61 of a French breed, imported for the first time to the Republic of Moldova thanks to a grant offered by the European Union. All these were enjoyed by the villagers from Corten and neighboring localities, who attended the performance.
