- During September – December 2016, over 600 town halls from 25 districts learned how to prevent corruption risks. The trainings were organized by the National Anticorruption Center (NAC), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in the framework of a project financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

- 49 new biomass heating systems, including 20 solar collectors, will be installed in 2017 using the European funds of the Energy and Biomass Project. As well, 27 kindergartens - beneficiaries of the first phase of the project - will be equipped with solar water heaters that will operate in conjunction with the biomass heating system. 34 schools and kindergartens with straw bale-fired heating plants will be additionally equipped with tractors for bale transportation and loading in the boiler. These are the plans for 2017 of the Energy and Biomass Project. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.
On January 23-28 Moldova marks the European Week for the Cervical Cancer Prevention. On this occasion, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund, and the International Association for Cervical Cancer Prevention, organized a series of public events aiming at increasing awareness and inform women about the importance of prevention measures and early detection of cervical cancer.
More than 60 women with migration experience joined forces to create the Movement of Migrant Women. Their aim is to be more actively involved in the collaboration with authorities for country’s development, as well as to fight for their rights.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have signed today an agreement under which UNDP will procure in 2017 vital medicines and medical products to patients across the country.
A flashmob was conducted on 2 February 2017 in Carpineni by students from three local schools. Drawings on the topic “How I see roads maintenance in my village” were exposed at the event. A weeklong drawing contest had been organized in all schools from Carpineni, which engaged 36 students, who shared their visions on the issue of road maintenance in their home community.
