The training course was sustained by the International Labour Organization (ILO) within the framework of support to accomplish a better targeting of services and employment measures offered by the National Employment Agency (NEA) to vulnerable groups.

During this seminar, the participants discussed the necessity to develop the outlines of annual priorities for the strategic planning, the labour market analysis methodology at the district level, the actions required to correlate the demand and supply on the labour market, as well as to establish the indicators for the identification of local needs. The training course was organized in an interactive format, that enabled the transfer of knowledge from theory to practice.

“We all expect that more unemployed can find a job and, correspondingly, more employers can identify the needed workforce, using the services of the National Employment Agency. To achieve that we need, among others, a consistent performance management system. Based on territorial labour market profiles, we will improve the planning of work according to the indicators set, as well as targeting services and measures much better. This will ultimately lead to better performance. We have involved the heads of the territorial subdivisions in the training and guided further by the Labour Market Observatory we will improve the knowledge of the labour market, the real challenges", said Ms Raisa Dogaru, NEA Director.
