Edvard Bulgac cultivates 700 hectares of land in the Ungheni region, where he grows winter wheat, winter rape, mustard, maize and sunflowers.
Edvard Bulgac is the administrator of the company "Faunus Prim", founded in 2000.
More recently, his company expanded its activity, developing an additional branch—vegetable growing. Thanks to a grant worth 30,000 euros, obtained through the the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF, Edvard Bulgac was provided with the necessary equipment.
He purchased an irrigation machine, straw baler and a tiller, which allows him to prepare the soil layer for small seeds.
"In the Republic of Moldova, agricultural specialists are not far from the modern technologies used in European countries, only that their system was created over several years. We have been developing for the last 20 years. The steps we took proved to us—and we tried to prove to our partners and colleagues—that we are capable, schooled and prepared for normal activity, where we can apply modern technologies that are practiced all over the world," says farmer Edvard Bulgac.
Edvard Bulgac is one of the 75 entrepreneurs from the Cahul and Ungheni regions who benefited from a grant worth 30,000 euros under the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme, implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.
