The 2022 "La La Play" expedition arrives in eleven UNDP partner localities

  • UNDP Moldova joins the sixth edition of the "La La Play" musical expedition, organized annually by the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra. Between July 8 and 17, the expedition will cover 30 localities in Moldova, including 11 partner localities of the UNDP project "Migration and Local Development", funded by the Government of Switzerland: Ciorești, Micleușeni, Vorniceni, Văleni, Slobozia Mare, Manta, Palanca, Sipoteni, Rogojeni, Cobîlea and Cotiujenii Mari.

The program will include visits and musical flashmobs organized on the premises of touristic sights and local businesses, while the evening will culminate with an open-air concert by Moldovan National Youth Orchestra. In UNDP partner localities, guest houses and agricultural businesses developed with the support of the Government of Switzerland and the involvement of residents, and the diaspora will be visited.

Concerts schedule:

  • 8 July, 18:00: Concert at Vatra Dumeniului, Vorniceni village, Strășeni district
  • 9 July, 19:00: Jazz at Prut, Văleni village, Cahul district (Gârla Manolescu „Ostrov”)
  • 10 July, 19:00: Concert at Casa cu Flori, Palanca village, Ștefan Vodă district
  • 13 July, 19:00: Concert at "La Sălcii", Sipoteni village, Călărași district
  • 14 July, 19:00:  Classical Music at Răut, Rogojeni village, Șoldănești district

The entrance is free.

Moldovan National Youth Orchestra is one of the most popular musical projects in Moldova. Founded in 2011 by Andriano Marian, the project brings together young instrumentalists studying at top music universities in the USA, England, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, and Romania.
