Taste makes the difference: Moldovan fresh fruit producers exhibit at INDAGRA FOOD Bucharest

16 November 2016

  • Moldovan producers showcase their produce internationally, participating at the Romanian largest trade fair for the food industry – INDAGRA FOOD. More than 10 Moldovan producers and exporters of fresh fruits and agro processors exhibited their produce and established new business contacts. The participation at this event was possible with support from UNDP, via a project financed by the Government of Romania.

The 2016 INDAGRA FOOD took place between the 2nd and 6th of November 2016, in Bucharest, being organized by ROMEXPO, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania.

“Our project is supporting participation of Moldovan producers and exporters to major trade fairs on fresh and processed fruits. Participation to INDAGRA FOOD is a must for Moldovan producers willing to export to Romanian and to other EU markets. This year we expect that new business contacts are established and developed, in particular with important retailers”, said Dumitru Vasilescu, Projects Manager at UNDP Moldova.

“Romanian market is probably one of the most important EU target markets for the Moldovan fresh produce. Moldovan producers regularly participating to the fair have good chances to establish new business contacts, access retail market, learn about new developments in terms of consumption and technologies”, said Iurie Fala, Executive Director of the Moldova Fruit Association.

As one of the most important events in the food industry, INDAGRA FOOD represents a networking and information platform, a framework for presenting novelties, products and services in the food industry and establishing new business contacts and contracts.
