National Employment Agency trained in in Monitoring and Evaluation of Employment Measures

At the online training, the participants discussed data collection, monitoring and evaluation of the active labour market measures' efficiency and performance in the context of the new Law on the Employment Promotion and Unemployment Insurance. The training course was moderated by ILO expert Valli Corbanese who spoke about how to collect and analyze data, the analysis of labour supply and demand, market density, and the provision of employment services and programs. During the webinar, participants analyzed the data collected by ANOFM in the first quarter of this year, and looked at the total number of unemployed, their distribution by region, distribution of unemployed by gender, provision of employment services and possible ways to solve the problems identified.

“This training course was necessary and useful, and has strengthened our capacities in terms of monitoring and evaluation of the active labour market measures. One of the key challenges faced by ANOFM is the production of information, the evaluation of all elements of a program, and the subsequent reporting to the ministry. We need to find ways to achieve more of the expected results." ANOFM Director Raisa Dogaru said.

The training workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the ILO project "Promotion of Youth Employment" in the context of the Law on Employment Promotion and Unemployment Insurance. The new law introduced measures to increase employment and reduce unemployment, especially among the vulnerable people.
