UN Moldova COVID-19 Situational Report nr6

  • The MoH has increased the number of hospitals that will treat Covid-19 cases to 27, the number of ventilators and ICU has also been increased. The preparation of the MoldExpo to triage cases is in progress and will likely be opened by 8 April.
  • The Moldova 2030 Multi-Donor Trust Fund Covid-19 window should go live on 9 April. An information package regarding this will be shared in the next sitrep.
  • The UN Secretary-General has launched a UN Covid-19 Response & Recovery Fund which is expected to have $1bn in the first 9-months. In case Moldova is selected to participate, the UN Country Team will begin to develop concept notes that we can pull together to create a larger multi-agency programme.
