Hincesti district has benefited from a modernized commercial infrastructure designed for small local producers based on the support granted by the International Labor Organization.
22 November 2024
- As part of the Local Employment Partnership implemented by Hincesti District Council, with the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO), 20 wooden exhibition kiosks were procured and placed in a location with increased access for local consumers and tourists.
This investment aims to support the small local producers and artisans in promoting and marketing their products, providing them with a modern and accessible infrastructure.
The exhibition kiosks, situated in a specially organized area of the Historical-Architectural Complex, "Manuc-Bey Mansion", will be used both on a permanent basis and for special events. Similarly, in partnership with local and national authorities, it is planned to organize in this area a festival - "At Home in Hincesti" and periodic producer’s fairs, which will bring together artisans from the country and twin regions of Romania.
“The exhibition kiosks located in this area generate an excellent opportunity to promote the products of Hincesti and contribute to the strengthening of district's position as an attractive tourist destination. By implementing the LEP, the district of Hincesti is committed to become a model of economic sustainability, supporting small producers in growing their production and diversification of local products and at the same time consolidating the tourist and economic opportunities of the region", states Iurie Levinschi, the Chairman of Hincesti district”
These kiosks are part of LEP Intervention Action designed to contribute to the development and formalization of small businesses in rural areas. The Action also includes an information campaign dedicated to small entrepreneurs, offering them the opportunity to formalize their businesses and benefit from the "Product of Hincesti" brand, a fact that will facilitate their access to local, regional, national and international markets. The beneficiaries will also be guided in the process of applying for financing through the available national programs. This Action also provides training in the field of entrepreneurship, offering support for the formalization and development of small businesses with the purpose to create jobs and stimulate the local economy.
Hincesti district LEP, in total, includes seven Intervention Actions, aimed to generate new jobs, encourage the transition to formalization and stimulate local economic growth.
This LEP is implemented with the financial assistance of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO) within the framework of the project "Inclusive and productive employment in Moldova” of the International Labor Organization.
