"La Cotihana" rest and recreation base was opened for visitors.
Just a few kilometers from the municipality of Cahul, in the village of Cotihana in the middle of the pandemic, the "La Cotihana" rest and recreation base was opened for visitors. Nicolae Căpraru is behind this business. Together with his wife, manages this complex, which has become a real refuge for visitors, being in the heart of nature.
"In 2020, during the pandemic, the service of accommodation in nature was very much requested. Then, we thought that our area can offer the given service," says Nicolae Căpraru.
With the support of the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme, financed by the EU and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF, the entrepreneur managed to diversify its range of services.
"Thanks to the ‘EU4Moldova: Focal Regions’ project, we have built several houses, where we now accommodate around ten people and enjoy many visitors and guests from the country and abroad", notes Nicolae Căpraru.
The entrepreneur built four houses, three of which with the support of the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme. Guests who choose to stay at "La Cotihana" have their own outdoor kitchen and for children, the entrepreneur has set up a play complex.
"Thanks to the support from the European Union, we managed to face the challenges. We attracted more visitors and created more jobs!" says Nicolae Căpraru.
The entrepreneur benefited from support in the financing competition for entrepreneurs, within the Local Action Group "Cişmeaua Sudului" and the tourist cluster "VIA Cahul", financially supported by the "EU4Moldova: Focal Regions" programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.
