UNICEF Moldova and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the protection of children's rights

UNICEF Moldova Country Representative Maha Damaj and the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Marcel Spatari, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the provision of technical assistance for strengthening the child protection system and social services.

According to the signed act, UNICEF and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will cooperate in implementing the National Program for Child Protection for 2022-2026, and the Action Plan developed in this sense.

Thus, based on mutual trust, institutions joined their efforts to strengthen the child protection system and ensure the respect of children's rights at the national level. In accordance with the  Memorandum, the parties will implement technical assistance projects with predetermined objectives, social assistance measures, and personalized action plans developed by MMPS and UNICEF. The Memorandum of Understanding will be valid for the period 2022 - 2026.
