A Local Temporary Return Program was launched, targeting diaspora members willing to support their native communities

- Diaspora representatives shall have the opportunity to temporary return to their home localities from Moldova, to transfer good practices, bring new ideas, experiences and know how acquired abroad. This is possible with the support of the Migration and Local Development Project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova.
To that end, diaspora members are invited to come with action proposals looking to help local authorities in addressing and solving a concrete problem of local priority. Applicants are expected to prove how abilities and knowledge acquired abroad can and shall be used to respond to this need.
The Program shall be implemented in 25 localities from Moldova, partners of the Migration and Local Development Project, during July 26 – March 31, 2017. Applications can be submitted on line, or by email, to: oxana.maciuca@undp.org.

Temporary return of diaspora, is part of the ”Diaspora Engagement Hub” Program, coordinated by the Bureau for Relations with the Diaspora / State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova.
