Three United Nations (UN) agencies from Moldova UNICEF, UN Women and IOM will receive one million dollars from the UN COVID-19 Response and Recovery Multi-Partner Trust Fund to support Moldova in its fight against COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen country’s capacity to respond to the crisis.

NEW YORK, 21 MAY 2020—Today the United Nations is launching ‘Verified’, an initiative to combat the growing scourge of COVID-19 misinformation by increasing the volume and reach of trusted, accurate information.

Children who are treated for COVID-19 in Moldovan hospitals have received toys crafted by EduJoc workshop, the one that produced visors for doctors.

Concerted action with a focus on equity could still limit the impacts of this unprecedented crisis: closing the digital divide would reduce by more than two-thirds the number of children currently not learning because of school closures.
